Rapid Molecular Detection and Quantification of Specific Pathogenic Bioaerosols

This research develops and validates real-time PCR and digital droplet PCR assays for rapid enumeration of Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella species, and Escherichia coli O157:H7 in food facility air samples. The sensitive and specific detection methods produced enable real-time contamination monitoring and rapid intervention responses.
