Agri Environmental › Biological Nitrogen Fixation Rate Quantification

This research applies quantitative genetics and genomic selection approaches to identify and characterize genetic loci controlling nitrogen fixation rate variation within and between legume species and nitrogen-fixing bacterial populations. The discoveries enable marker-assisted breeding strategies for crop cultivars with enhanced biological nitrogen fixation capacity.
