Plasmid Engineering and Mobilization Studies

Interns will design, construct, and characterize plasmids with selectable markers and origin of transfer (oriT) sequences for conjugation experiments. They will optimize plasmid stability, replication rates, and transfer efficiency across different bacterial hosts using molecular cloning techniques and analytical methods.
