Biofilm Characterization on Stainless Steel Surfaces

Interns will investigate the formation and structure of bacterial biofilms on various grades of stainless steel commonly used in food processing equipment. They will employ microscopy techniques (SEM, confocal laser scanning microscopy) and molecular methods to characterize biofilm composition, thickness, and microbial community structure under different environmental conditions.
