Explosive Residue Characterization and Detection
Interns will conduct laboratory analysis of explosive residues using advanced analytical techniques such as gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and liquid chromatography to identify and characterize chemical signatures. This work involves developing and validating detection protocols for various explosive compounds and their degradation products found at crime scenes.
