Fingerprint Matching and Minutiae Analysis
Interns will study fingerprint ridge characteristics (minutiae points) and develop or improve matching algorithms for fingerprint comparison and identification. They will analyze the reliability of different matching methods and contribute to research on reducing false positive and false negative identifications.
