What is an Animal Ethics Internship?

This internship engages with institutional animal ethics committees (CPCSEA / IACUC). You learn how research using animals is reviewed, approved, monitored, and held to humane standards — the formal apparatus that keeps animal-based science responsible.

What you will do

• Read and critique animal-research protocols against CPCSEA / IACUC criteria
• Track Form B and Form D submission and renewal cycles
• Audit animal house records, housing standards, and humane-endpoint logs
• Familiarise yourself with the 3Rs framework (Replacement, Reduction, Refinement)
• Compile a representative committee-ready protocol package
