What is a Bioethics & IRB Internship?

This internship pulls you behind the scenes of research ethics review. You work with the documentation, protocols, and committee processes that decide whether a piece of research is allowed to proceed. It is one of the few internships that combines law, science, and ethics in a single workflow.

What you will do

• Read and critique real (anonymised) study protocols for ethics-review readiness
• Draft and refine informed-consent documents for various participant populations
• Maintain IRB / IEC submission folders to audit-grade standards
• Track adverse-event reports and amendment workflows
• Familiarise yourself with the Helsinki Declaration, ICMR guidelines, and equivalent frameworks
