Computer Vision for Coral and Sponge Specimen Classification

Interns will build image recognition models to classify and identify marine organisms from underwater imagery and laboratory samples. They will train convolutional neural networks to predict which specimens are likely sources of novel bioactive compounds based on morphological features.
