Interns will develop and test enzyme-based approaches to disrupt biofilm integrity, including evaluation of proteolytic enzymes, glycoside hydrolases, and polysaccharide-degrading enzymes. Work involves assessing enzyme efficacy in breaking down biofilm matrix components and measuring synergistic effects with conventional antimicrobials.
