Antibiotic Resistance Gene Prevalence in Wastewater Ecosystems
Interns will screen wastewater samples for antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) and antibiotic-resistant bacteria using PCR and qPCR techniques. They will assess the fate of ARGs through different treatment stages and evaluate treatment strategies for reducing antimicrobial resistance dissemination.
