Golgi Apparatus Stacking and Trans-Golgi Network Organization
Students will investigate the molecular mechanisms maintaining Golgi cisternae architecture through studying tethering complexes (COG, GARP), membrane trafficking dynamics, and glycosylation enzyme localization. Research will involve super-resolution microscopy, biochemical reconstitution assays, and live-cell imaging to elucidate how organellar organization relates to cargo sorting and protein modification.
