Acetylation and Histone Modification in Gene Regulation
Interns will examine lysine acetylation on histone and non-histone proteins and their critical roles in transcriptional regulation and chromatin remodeling. They will perform chromatin immunoprecipitation assays and analyze how acetyltransferases and deacetylases control epigenetic gene expression.
