Interns will evaluate exotic and wild crop accessions to identify novel alleles for disease resistance, stress tolerance, or quality traits suitable for introgression programs. Work includes phenotypic screening, preliminary molecular characterization, and development of comprehensive germplasm evaluation reports for breeding program selection.
