Disease Modeling Through Edited Stem Cells
Interns will use CRISPR technology to create disease-relevant mutations in human pluripotent stem cells to model genetic disorders such as cystic fibrosis or sickle cell disease. They will characterize these patient-mimicking cells and evaluate their potential for drug screening and disease mechanism studies.
