Interns will investigate how microorganisms develop resistance to commonly used food preservatives through serial passage experiments and molecular characterization. Research will focus on identifying resistance mechanisms, monitoring genetic changes in bacterial populations, and assessing the long-term stability of additive effectiveness in food systems.
