Trace Metal and Inorganic Toxin Analysis
Interns will utilize inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) and atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) to detect and quantify toxic inorganic elements such as heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury) in biological matrices. This work is essential for poisoning investigations and understanding environmental exposure in forensic cases.
