Interns will evaluate immune responses to engineered tissue constructs by studying macrophage activation, cytokine profiling, and foreign body reactions in vitro and in vivo models. They will test immunomodulatory approaches such as coating modifications and immunosuppressive strategies to enhance tissue integration and reduce rejection.
