Interns will study multi-species biofilm systems to understand inter-bacterial interactions, competition, and cooperation within complex biofilm matrices. They will employ molecular techniques like metagenomic analysis and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) to map spatial distribution and community dynamics.
