Bacterial Conjugation Pathway Analysis

Interns will investigate the mechanisms of plasmid transfer between bacterial cells through conjugation, including pili formation, DNA replication, and recipient cell recognition. Students will perform wet-lab experiments involving antibiotic resistance marker tracking and develop computational models to predict conjugation efficiency across different bacterial species.
