Pathogen Survival and Propagule Dynamics in Soil
Interns will investigate survival mechanisms of root rot pathogens (Fusarium, Pythium, Phytophthora species) in soil under various environmental conditions. They will quantify pathogen propagule density, assess dormancy periods, and evaluate factors influencing spore germination and viability using culture-dependent and molecular techniques.
