Directed Differentiation Protocols for Tissue-Specific Cell Types
Interns will develop and optimize differentiation protocols to generate specific cell lineages such as cardiomyocytes, neurons, or hepatocytes from pluripotent stem cells. Research will include designing culture conditions, implementing temporal gene expression analysis, and evaluating functional maturity of differentiated cells through electrophysiology or metabolic assays.
