Environmental Magnetic Interference Assessment and Mitigation
Interns will evaluate how external magnetic sources (power lines, nearby equipment, ferromagnetic materials in buildings) affect MRI field homogeneity and develop mitigation strategies. Work involves field measurements, statistical analysis of interference patterns, shielding design optimization, and recommendations for clinical facility planning to minimize distortion-related image artifacts.
