CRISPR-Mediated Epigenetic Silencing of Disease Susceptibility Factor Genes
This research examines targeted epigenetic modifications of susceptibility (S) genes using CRISPR interference and dCas9-KRAB systems to suppress pathogen virulence factor targets. The work reveals novel regulatory mechanisms by which transcriptional silencing of host vulnerability factors enhances disease resistance phenotypes without loss-of-function mutations.
